Cleveland Author Jameel Davis: Cleveland’s own Author Jameel Davis, earned his BA in Justice Studies from Kent State University in 2013, and has been a Correctional Officer at the Cuyahoga County Sheriff Department ever since. Later after being employed at the Cuyahoga County Sheriff Department, he became, an Agent of Change, a Speaker, Writer, Poet and Author. Author Jameel Davis is a positive and highly respectable individual. He is a man of change, an encouraging leader, with many proteges of all ages and backgrounds; from toddlers to adults, students to professionals, and even incarcerated individuals. He often speaks and shares his poetry and wisdom in front of groups, and delivers keynote speeches at local schools and organizations. Jameel is featured in the 10th, 11th and 12th Anniversary Editions of Who’s Who Black Cleveland, the 10th edition being forwarded by Lebron James. Jameel has recently returned from Toronto, Ontario, Canada promoting his new book, "Cultivating Minds To Own Thyself" at the Toronto Urban Book Expo sponsored by KYA Publishing.
